More and more projects require <strong>lightweight materials, reduced thicknesses, and high-precision processing<\/strong>, without compromising aesthetic quality or technical performance.<\/p>\n<p>To respond to this evolution, we have invested in two new production technologies: a <strong>multi-wire saw <\/strong>and a <strong>calibrating machine<\/strong>. These two systems allow us to <strong>work with extreme precision even on very thin slabs<\/strong>, expanding our production possibilities and improving control over the final result.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Thin slabs: more design possibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The use of <strong>thin slabs<\/strong> is increasingly widespread in various sectors, from furniture and interior design to technical applications and the naval sector.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing the thickness of natural stone means obtaining lighter, more versatile materials that are easier to integrate into projects where weight, space, and load management are key design elements.<\/p>\n<p>Thin slabs are increasingly in demand for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>kitchen countertops<\/li>\n<li>vertical cladding<\/li>\n<li>custom furnishings<\/li>\n<li>contract and retail sectors<\/li>\n<li>naval applications<\/li>\n<li>large, lightweight surfaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This evolution, however, requires increasingly precise and controlled cutting technologies.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Multiwire machine: A New Frontier in Thin-Cutting<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Our new <strong>Pedrini GS230 Tech12 multiwire<\/strong> represents a major step forward in natural stone processing.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to its <strong>96 diamond wires<\/strong>, it allows for extremely precise cuts and the production of very thin slabs, up to approximately <strong>12 mm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Multiwire technology improves process control and increases production flexibility, also allowing <strong>slabs of different thicknesses to be produced simultaneously<\/strong> from the same block.<\/p>\n<p>This approach allows us to <strong>optimize<\/strong> <strong>processing<\/strong> and adapt production to specific project needs.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Calibrating Machine: Uniform Surfaces and Precise Tolerances<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alongside the multiwire machine, we have introduced a <strong>new calibrating machine<\/strong> that allows us to achieve uniform thicknesses and highly precisely calibrated surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>This process is especially essential in applications requiring <strong>tight tolerances and consistent aesthetic continuity<\/strong>, such as kitchen countertops or large surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>Calibration takes on an even more important role in the <strong>processing of particularly hard and technical materials<\/strong>, such as natural <strong>quartzite and crystal<\/strong>, which require greater control throughout the production process.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>10 mm Slabs and Ultra-Thin Solutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Thanks to our new systems, we are able to supply finished slabs with very thin thicknesses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 mm slabs<\/li>\n<li>slabs up to 6 mm with mesh reinforcements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Thin slabs<\/strong> open up new design possibilities in all those contexts where weight and size must be reduced without sacrificing the quality of natural stone.<\/p>\n<p>For designers, furniture companies, and fabricators, this means <strong>greater design freedom<\/strong> and new application possibilities.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Higher material yield, less waste<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Reducing thicknesses also represents an important advantage in terms of <strong>sustainability<\/strong> and<strong> resource optimization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By working with thin slabs, it is possible to significantly increase the yield obtained from each block of natural stone:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>approximately 36 m\u00b2 with traditional 2 cm processing<\/li>\n<li>up to approximately 50 m\u00b2 with reduced thicknesses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This allows for <strong>more efficient use of the material,<\/strong> reducing waste and maximizing the value of the raw material.<\/p>\n<p>An approach perfectly aligned with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corradinigroup.it\/en\/sustainability\/\">sustainability path<\/a> undertaken by Corradini Group, aimed at continuously improving processes, production yields, and resource management.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Technology and know-how for new design possibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Technology alone is not enough.
